Origin joins niche 11-inch gaming laptop range with Eon 11-S
30 April 2012 – While Dell’s gettin'g ready to usher its 11-inch gaming laptop Alienware M11x to retirement, Origin wants to roll out its Eon 11-S, an 11-inch compact high-performance laptop. Origin was co-founded by some Alienware employees, and they are taking cues from ultrabook designs, without making any 'ultra-sacrifices'.
The Eon 11-S comes equipped with Intel’s 3rd-generation (Ivy Bridge) Core i-Series processor along with Nvidia’s GT 650M graphics. Origin says the Eon 11-S clocks in 6.5 hours of battery life. The laptop weighs 1.8kg.
And if it looks like something you have seen recently, it might be Maingear's own 11-inch gaming laptop. According to Engadget, the Eon 11-S is a rebadge of the Pulse 11.
The Origin Eon 11-S is available to order now, and starts at USD $ 999, with Ivy Bridge it goes up to USD $ 1294.
